The Jefferson County Internship Program is designed to expose students to career opportunities in local government while creating a valuable employee pipeline, strengthening our employer brand.
The Human Resources Department has partnered with various departments throughout Jefferson County to offer internship opportunities to students! The Jefferson County Commission views internships as a form of experiential education related to the student’s course of study that allows students to apply what they have learned to real work situations and build on their knowledge, skills, and abilities.
This internship program provides students the flexibility to develop meaningful, practical skills and apply the knowledge learned in the classroom through relevant assignments and hands-on experience, which may lead to possible future employment with Jefferson County!
If you’d like to learn more about the program and these exciting opportunities, please contact us at 205-325-5249, option 1 or option 6. Or email us at careers@jccal.org.
